Scientifica Meets - Dr. Pedro Garcia da Silva

Scientifica met Dr. Pedro Garcia da Silva, organiser of the Interacting with Neural Circuits course at the Champalimuad Centre for the Unknown, Lisbon. Pedro explained that the course consists of demonstrations, lectures and mini projects, all focusing on the techniques that are used to record and manipulate activity in the brains of model systems.

Scientifica provided a HyperScope that was used to perform three-photon imaging during the course, as well as support from company experts to enable students to get the most out of the system.

The 2019 course was more ambitious than in previous years, utilising three-photon imaging technology and giving students more hands-on time at the rigs, enabling them to carry out more ambitious mini-projects.
