The Scientifica Exchange Programme
The Scientifica Exchange Programme is designed to keep costs down and minimise disruption in the laboratory.
This service is available for Scientifica manufactured products in current production*, and in some instances may represent a chargeable upgrade to existing equipment. It is a convenient way to quickly swap your parts that need servicing and maintain working instruments. This enables you to keep working even if something goes wrong.
If a Scientifica product needs repairing or servicing by our in-house specialists, the part may be exchanged for the same type of equipment from Scientifica’s service stock.
To ensure the service is fast and cost effective, we will ship you the replacement part as soon as we can, depending on if we have the item in stock and all the necessary details about the servicing requirements from you.
You can return the item to us in the same packaging in which the replacement equipment was delivered. We will include a return address label and shipping details so you can easily get the product back to us, usually once the replacement is up and running, to minimise interruption to your experiments.
Our Service team will assess and repair returned equipment. Excepting accidental damage, products manufactured by Scientifica are covered by warranty for two years from the date of delivery. To minimise downtime and shipping, you are invited to retain the service item while returned items are refurbished and placed in our service stock for future customers using the Exchange Programme. Shipping for warranty items is provided free of charge by Scientifica.
If the exchanged equipment is not covered by a warranty, we will set up an order to arrange the repair and shipping costs and you can still keep the equipment already shipped to you.
All repairs carried out by the Scientifica service department are guaranteed for six months from the date of repair and the warranty expiry date of original equipment applies if later.
Generally, Scientifica exchange equipment (service stock) comes with a six-month warranty.
