École Normale Supérieure's Neurophysiology Course 2026

Scientifica is proud to be supporting the École Normale Supérieure's Neurophysiology Course

This course aims at providing a complete theoretical and practical grounding in the electrophysiological techniques underlying modern research in Neurophysiology.

This popular and long established course runs for four weeks from the 7th September - 2nd October 2026, the course consists of 24 hours of lectures and 90 hours of workshops.

Scientifica will be providing the SliceScope Pro 6000 & SliceScope Pro 1000 to the course.

ENS Paris Neurophysiology Course 2025

ENS Paris Neurophysiology Course 2025

Scientifica has been a key supporter of the Ecole Normale Superieure Paris Neurophysiology Course for over a decade and we were delighted to catch up with its course director Dr. Mariano Casado and some of the students as they got hands-on experience in electrophysiology techniques including patch clamping on Scientifica's electrophysiology rigs during the 2025 course.

SliceScope Pro 1000

The most popular tissue slice patch clamp electrophysiology system

The SliceScope Pro 1000 is an integrated electrophysiology system for patch clamp recording. The versatility of the system means that you can perform slice electrophysiology, fluorescent imaging, and in vivo experiments.

This package consists of the SliceScope microscope, motorised XY-translation stage, two PatchStar manipulators, adjustable Post & Platform mounting systems, and a recording chamber.

SliceScope Pro 6000

The most versatile patch clamp electrophysiology system

The SliceScope Pro 6000 is an integrated electrophysiology system for patch clamp recording. The versatility of the system means that you can perform in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology, and even adapt the system for advanced imaging, such as multiphoton imaging and confocal microscopy.

This package consists of the SliceScope microscope, a motorised movable base plate, two PatchStar manipulators, and a recording chamber.
