Scientifica Patch Pro 1000 Electrophysiology Rig

Scientifica Patch Pro 1000

The Patch Pro 1000 is an electrophysiology system facilitating dual or single patch clamping with your existing upright microscope. The package includes a motorised microscope XY translation stage, two PatchStar micromanipulators and adjustable Post & Platform mounting systems for the manipulators and sample. It enables plenty of access to the sample and flexible positioning of the posts. It is typically used with slice electrophysiology.

Super-smooth micromanipulators

The PatchStar or MicroStar manipulators have 20 nm resolution for absolute positioning control and less than 1 µm drift in two hours for long-term experiments.

Fully adjustable post and platforms

Made from high-quality steel and aluminium these ultra-stable platforms can easily be moved to any position desired and to gain easy access to the sample.

Universal motorised stage

50 mm of super-smooth movement in the X and Y axes with an optional Z focus module. Compatible with a wide range of microscopes.

In Vivo Applications

If you are interested in the PatchPro 1000 for in vivo applications, you can upgrade or order this with an in vivo plate in place of the sample plate holder. The in vivo plate has threaded holes spaced across the surface of the plate, which will enable the user to attach various tools, such as ear bars or head restraints.

This allows for further options when using the PatchPro rig, if you are interested please contact us or look at the Post and Platform Sample Plate Holders page.
