Access total device information via integrated display screen

Instantly see which device you’re operating, precise XYZ coordinates, activity status, and stored memory positions all in one place. For light-sensitive experiments, simply switch the screen off with a single button press.

Precise coordinate information

Accurate probe placement is critical for targeting specific brain or tissue regions in vivo. The integrated screen provides clear, real-time coordinate information, offering greater ease and accuracy compared to traditional mechanical scales.

Coordinate reset for reference point

Zero your coordinates directly on the controller to set a clear starting reference point, such as the bregma. This makes it easier to track insertion depth and maintain orientation in your sample, giving you confidence and accuracy throughout demanding in vivo experiments.

Navigate back to points of interest

PatchPad Evo lets you store memory positions directly on the controller, so you can quickly return to cells or regions of interest. This saves time and reduces the risk of missing opportunities in delicate patch clamp preparations.

Fast, reliable pipette exchange

The Home In & Home Out buttons enable speedy, reliable, pipette exchange. User defined positions enable you to move your probe safely away from and towards your sample with a single button press.

Keep the sample safe

Using the wheel disable / enable function allows you to turn on or off the control dials / wheels and prevent unintentional movement of a probe, putting you in control during the delicate experiments.

Customisable speed control for precise positioning

Switch between fast and slow modes directly on the controller. Fast mode helps you move quickly across the sample or into the right region, while slow mode provides the fine control needed to position with accuracy. Both can be fully customisable.
