Scientifica’s Multiphoton Imaging System wins the UK’s most prestigious award for design and innovation

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious business awards recognising outstanding achievement by UK businesses. The awards are given on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee including representative of government, industry and commerce.

The Queen's Award for Innovation given to Scientifica recognises the contribution Scientifica's Multiphoton Imaging System has made to biomedical research around the world.

"This is a really significant achievement to have our flagship product recognised with such a prestigious award. It will give a massive boost to all our staff, suppliers and customers, and will undoubtedly contribute to our continuing success as a British manufacturer and exporter of high precision scientific equipment."
Mark Johnson, Managing Director

The Scientifica Multiphoton system is uniquely designed with electrophysiologists in mind. It integrates electrophysiology and multiphoton imaging with a number of superior features such as easy switching between in vivo and in vitro experiments.

"Our success is due to a number of factors. We've found that building relationships with customers is key to our success. The majority of our sales team are scientists themselves, so they are well placed to understand our clients' requirements. Also, compared with using alternative systems, researchers using the Scientifica system benefit from lower experimental costs and reduced space requirements."
Mark Johnson, Managing Director

The Scientifica team will be visiting London in July to receive its Award from HM The Queen herself, following which, there will be a special presentation ceremony with The Lord Lieutenant of Sussex in Uckfield.
