Post and Platform Sample Plate Holders

Securely mounting your tissue sample is essential for accurate, stable recordings. By opting to mount your samples using our post and platform system, you can guarantee simple and ultra stable mounting around almost any microscope type.

Post and Platform Sample Plate Holders are available in three types to cater for a range of manipulation requirements and budgets:

• Fixed post and platform - popularly combined with moving microscope stages, these are available with magnetic or screw-down bases for easy installation straight onto your table surface. The height of the sample can be set using the lever mechanism.
• Movable sample plate - offers similar benefits to the fixed post and platform, but with 25mm of fine manual control adjustment in X and Y axis to easily align your preparation in your microscope's field of view.
• Motorised Movable sample plate - features motorised movement in X, Y and optionally Z axis, via our standard range of control options for entirely hands-free sample positioning.

• Repeatable sample positioning – Utilizing a height adjustable collar. The sample can be repeatably moved from a working to a set-up position.
• Super Stable Post – The thick steel ensures optimum stability for long term and delicate experiments.
• Sample mounting – Holds industry standard 108mm and 110mm diameter chamber adaptors. This includes the Scientifica Slice Recording chamber kit.
• Choice of attachment – Can be bolted or magnetically fastened to an antivibration table.

Separate manual XY movement of the sample relative to the microscope offers additional benefits. Our MSP boasts 25mm of fine manual control.

Benefits include:

• 25mm of X and Y sample movement ensures you can align your preparation perfectly within your microscope field of view.
• Height adjustable – The system will suit many microscopes and can also be adjusted to suit any thickness of sample, whether this is an in vitro or an in vivo experiement.
• Repeatable sample positioning – Utilizing a height adjustable collar. The sample can be repeatably moved from a working to a set-up position.
• Super Stable Post – The thick steel ensures optimum stability for long term and delicate experiments.

Offering all the same advantages as the Movable Sample Plate, the motorized version can also be controlled remotely. This allows complete hands off sample positioning.

Up to 50 memory positions may be stored and recalled at specific points on the sample. The MMSP can also be provided with a Z focus module (available for some microscopes). The MMSP can be controlled via a control Cube or patchPad and additionally you can benefit from the LinLab software.

The unrivalled stability and ease of use offered by the post and platform system can now be enjoyed by researchers studying in-vivo samples.

With a tapped-hole pattern designed to accept a wide range of mounting systems, it's available with manual or motorised X and Y axis adjustment.
