A postdoc position in Neurophysiology, Neuroendocrinology, and Epilepsy is available in the lab of Dr. Catherine Christian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (www.christianlab.org).

The Lab

This position is for an NIH-funded project investigating the neural and pituitary mechanisms that underlie comorbid reproductive endocrine disorders in a mouse model of temporal lobe epilepsy. The lab uses a variety of approaches including patch clamp electrophysiology, EEG, stereotactic surgeries, optogenetics/chemogenetics, neuroanatomy, viral vectors, and transgenic mouse models to explore research questions at the intersection of neuroscience, physiology, and endocrinology.

For a recent paper related to this project, see Li et al., 2018 eNeuro 5:e0273-18.2018. http://www.eneuro.org/content/5/5/ENEURO.0273-18.2018
