The HoloStim-3D seamlessly integrates with the HyperScope, an award-winning multiphoton imaging system, to create an industry-leading spatial light modulator (SLM) system for all-optical interrogation of neural networks with previously unachievable performance.
Job Title: Postdoctoral position in Systems Neuroscience
Location: Fribourg, Switzerland
Closing Date: 1st May 2021
The group of Prof. Mario Prsa at the University of Fribourg (prsalab.org) is looking for Postdoctoral candidates to conduct research on neural mechanisms of forelimb sensorimotor adaptation and/or proprioceptive sensory processing.
Proprioception and sensorimotor adaptation are two physiological processes crucial for maintaining movement accuracy. The candidate will use state-of-the art behavioral, optogenetic, calcium imaging and advanced microscopy techniques to dissect the underlying neuronal circuits in the mouse brain.
Our laboratory is part of the Department of Neuroscience and Movement Science within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Fribourg comprised of a vibrant scientific community including more than 20 multi-disciplinary research groups
Applicants should hold a PhD in Systems Neuroscience, be highly motivated and have excellent analytical, experimental and writing skills. Proficiency in data analysis, hardware programming and experimental control with Matlab is a requirement. Prior experience with rodent behavior, optogenetics and in-vivo imaging is preferred.
The initial contract is for 2 years (funded by the SNSF) with a possibility of prolongation.
How to Apply
The planned start is April/May 2021. Interested applicants should send a letter of motivation, complete CV and a list of referees to [email protected].
