A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Yevgenia (Genia) Kozorovitskiy, Ph.D., in the Department of Neurobiology at Northwestern University Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences in Evanston, IL, USA
The lab is focused on neuromodulatory signaling across a wide range of neural circuits. We use electrophysiological, optical and molecular tools, as well as develop new techniques. Examples of recent papers from the lab include Xiao et al, Neuron 2017, Xiao et al, eLife, 2018, Kumar et al, Optics Express, 2018.
Candidates should be close to defending or hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, chemistry, or engineering. A strong publication record in neuroscience is expected, and pre-prints will be taken into account. Successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication and writing skills. She or he should aspire to become an academic scientist.
