The Department of Neurophysiology, Institute of Physiology of the Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen (Garaschuk lab) is looking for a talented and motivated fellow (at the PhD or postdoctoral level) to fill a new position focusing on the contribution of the cortical and hippocampal neuro-glial networks to memory processing during sleep.
This is a collaborative project between several CIN labs and is embedded into a prospective DFG Research Unit. Our lab has a strong background in in vivo analyses of neuro-glial signaling and is characterized by a friendly, collaborative attitude. The position can be filled at the Postdoctoral or PhD student level depending on the best available candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in neuroscience, molecular biology, in vivo imaging, mathematics/computational neuroscience.
The successful PhD candidate can choose one of the well structured training programs (International Max Planck Research School “The Mechanisms of Mental Function and Dysfunction”; Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience or PhD program in Experimental Medicine. The postdoctoral fellow can profit from early carrier support programs of the University of Tübingen.
