My journey at Scientifica: Leah Hunt, Infrastructure & Network Lead

Here, Leah discusses how she has progressed from an admin role to Infrastructure and Network Lead, and the opportunities she has had while working at Scientifica.

What was your first role at Scientifica and when did you start?

I started at Scientifica in August 2012, my first position was in admin, mainly working on dispatch and supporting the US sales team.

How have you progressed?

I have worked my way up through the company through departments, moving from admin to international sales, sales & technical support, technical support and IT Manager. I now work as Infrastructure and Network Lead, supporting Scientifica along with other Judges companies.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

I am aiming high, and see myself directing IT, furthering my knowledge and gaining additional qualifications to help me in my field. I would like to go global. In a nutshell, I see myself here with the opportunity to progress.

What do you like about working at Scientifica?

The people are great. The team works and achieves together. There are so many opportunities; working hard gets you recognised and in turn opportunities for progression are opened to you. I also like the flexibility from the company and as an individual. The company provides flexible working hours, so work fits around you, instead of you fitting around work. As a working mum, I love having the ability to be there for special family moments.

What is your greatest achievement/proudest moment?

I have a few as I have been given great opportunities by Scientifica. Firstly, achieving my Microsoft certification in Networking, Server and Security. Secondly, gaining the wealth of product knowledge to allow me to succeed in my sales role without having a science background.
