StAmp

A digital Stimulator and Amplifier module with built in Resistance measurement and Audio monitor.The StAmp is a modern, convenient way of controlling your extracellular experiments. Popular for recording from several tissue slices at one time.

The StAmp is a high performance Stimulator and Amplification Unit. StAmp is an extracellular amplifier with isolated stimulation unit for up to four channel operation. The system also includes resistance testing, audio monitor and I/O to industry standard data acquisition systems including CED or Axon systems. The StAmp is housed in a 1U 19”rack mountable enclosure. The PC to StAmp interface is via USB.

The StAmp is configured using a Windows pc via an easy to use graphical user interface.

Applications

The StAmp is typically used for recording and stimulating electrophysiological events in biological tissue.

Available with 1-4 channels the StAmp can be used on multiple sites within a single tissue or shared across a number of samples for more data acquisition.

This gives a gain range of 10 to 10,000 with the Headstage Pre-Amp Gain.
High pass filter (Selected via GUI): OFF (DC mode), 1 to 1000Hz; 
Low pass filter (Selected via GUI): 100 Hz to 20 kHz
Electrode resistance test: Scaling in M?(Activated via GUI)
Output drive capability: 10 V into 2 k?
Max. output voltage: ±10V
Oscilloscope output: for diagnostics
Audio monitor: (requires additional speakers)
