The top 10 resources for organising your trip to Neuroscience 2014
The Society for Neuroscience annual meeting is coming up soon and the enormity of the event makes it difficult to plan for. There are approximately 30,000 attendees, 14,000 posters and plenty of meetings, events, socials, symposia and lectures. To help you get as much as you can from the conference we have put together a list of our top 10 resources to help you plan your conference before you get there and during the event.
1. Your first stop should definitely be this webinar. It contains top tips from experienced participants to ensure you get the most from your time in Washington D.C.
2. The Neuroscience 2014 meeting planner allows you to search through everything going on at the event, browse through the different sessions and find presenters you want to see. You can then create an itinerary of all the things you decide to go to, so you know where to be and when.
3. NeurOnline is the Society for Neuroscience’s community discussion forum where you can talk to other members about the scientific programme and networking events going on at the conference. If you have a question, you can post a new discussion here and wait for one of your peers to respond.
4. There is also now a mobile app for iOS and Android where you can view the discussions, find career and training resources and access a member directory as well as planning for the annual meeting.
